#5 Epiphone DOT Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar, Cherry Red The Gibson ES-335 took the rock and roll world by storm when it was launched in 1958 as the first of its kind guitar. You may know it as Lucille, the red archtop that B.B. King famously played. I've recently traded in my Epiphone Dot for a lovely Epiphone Casino (449 RRP) in Cherry Red. I always liked the sound I got from the Dot, but the playability and the build quality wasn't the best so decided to upgrade. Considered a Sheraton, but was too heavy and bulky compared to the Casino. Today, the P90's traditional combination of high output and brilliant tone is still considered a favorite among many top musicians.
