Par-A-Dice Hotel and Casino is a casino located on the Illinois River off Illinois Route 116/U.S. Route 150 in East Peoria, Illinois, United States.

The Par-A-Dice opened in 1991 in Peoria, Illinois, and moved across the river to East Peoria in 1993.[5] Originally established with local investors,[5] it was later sold to Boyd Gaming.

The Par-A-Dice had cruised the Illinois River 10 times daily during its early years, but stopped cruising altogether after Illinois dropped the requirement for riverboat casinos to leave their docks in June 1999. However, as the result of a new U.S. Coast Guard annual requirement, the riverboat set off for a few hours in the morning in June 2010 for the first time in 11 years.[1]

The Spirit of Peoria is a nice, detailed sternwheel riverboat built in 1988 by Walker Boat Yard, Paducah, KY. She has three decks and is 100 feet long and 35 feet wide. Her true paddlewheel is powered by two Caterpillar 3412 diesel engines that turn 350 kw generator sets. The generators move the chains which propel the wheel. A 7 feet maple pilot wheel is located in the pilot house for steering. She is nicely decorated in the old wedding cake style including a captain’s bell and a brass tube telegraph. She has also an air operated calliope. The Spirit of Peoria is offering sightseeing, theme, charter and also overnight cruises.

The Spirit of Peoria has her own website: www.spiritofpeoria.com.
